Identify the chart owner
The Jefferies source is its manufacturer help page with separate sock and tight charts. The Hanes selected record uses a retailer-displayed chart and conflicting answers. Those are different kinds of evidence. This site does not present a retailer table as a fully matched current maker label when that verification remains incomplete.
Keep the family boundary
A sock chart applies to its stated sock family, while a tight chart uses different dimensions and labels. An adult hosiery chart is another family again. Do not reuse one because it includes a familiar Small or Medium label. The reference tool makes the selected source family visible before displaying any row.
Retain discrepancies
If a retailer's typical-age wording differs from the manufacturer row, show the difference rather than averaging it. If a selected page includes two shoe ranges, do not hide one to create a clean recommendation. The Hanes Medium record demonstrates why exact source scope matters. A table can be readable and still need selected-package clarification.
Do not turn omission into exclusion
A chart that lacks a particular style or case does not prove the product cannot fit. It means the available evidence does not answer that question. Our unknown state is deliberately separate from a negative conclusion. Ask the manufacturer about the exact selected version instead of using absence as a yes/no fit test.
Keep references current
A chart cached from years earlier may not describe a current product family. Save the observation date and link, and compare the actual received label. The site does not claim that a historical marketplace chart is current merely because it loads. Earlier adult content or unrelated templates were not used as substitutes for these children's references.
A precise clarification request
Provide the style, color, size label and specific conflicting field when contacting the seller or maker. Ask which current chart applies. A broad answer about children's socks may not resolve an exact pack issue. Retain the response with its date and scope rather than rewriting all brand ranges from one reply.
Separate software and content approval
Browser checks can establish that the intended source and row display correctly. They do not verify an individual fit or certify every manufacturer range. Independent content and selected-label review remain pending. The site can be locally built and functionally checked while a chart-scope question remains explicitly unresolved.
Maintain a source trail
Record the product title, style or retailer identifier, selected option, chart source and observation date together. A later chart update should create a new versioned observation rather than silently rewriting what supported an earlier purchase note. If the source is only a general family chart, say so. An exact product link and a general chart link are useful together, but their relationship still needs checking.
Sources & scope
Checked November 4, 2026. Manufacturer and retailer references support the specific statements. Dated displayed prices are not final checkout quotes, performance rankings or performance testing. This shopping reference does not replace the exact product label or qualified individual advice. Exact selected labels and independent content/commerce review remain pending.
